Background: I produce films, television shows, events and websites that give us vital information about our world. Whether the project is a website for a non-profit organization or a feature film about one woman's story, I bring a point-of-view often overlooked, or purposefully ignored by the mainstream media. Generally speaking, my p.o.v.is one with an eye for finding new "truths", exploring culture, art, and movements for social justice. At the same time, I am committed to broadening access to independent media and resources for all audiences and those who want to produce.
I have been producing, directing, editing and production coordinating for over ten years. Most of the work I have produced or contributed to has been for non-profit organizations, visual and musical artists, or what I call "activist video", which is reporting a story, but without any "objectivity". My last big project was producing the upcoming documentary feature film: THE HERETICS, Directed by Joan Braderman. Joan tells the story of the women who started the HERESIES collective in the midst of the Women's and Feminist Art Movement of the 1970's. I have been teaching field and studio production, editing Final Cut Pro and Cablecast for five years. I started a Youth TV Camp at Berkeley Community Media in 2005, which is still going strong. I enjoy teaching and I hope to continue to teach in the future.
