What is a rating?

Near a project’s completion, the buyer is asked to assign a rating to the producer who performed the work. Similarly, the producer is asked to rate the buyer, using these criteria:

5 stars: Excellent
4 stars: Good
3 stars: Average
2 stars: OK/Acceptable
1 star: Poor experience

What is a review?

In addition to providing a one- to five-star rating, producers and buyers are also asked to write a short summary of their experience working with the other person.

How do producers receive their rank?

Producers are ranked according to their cumulative ratings and the number of projects completed. The higher the ratings and number of projects, the higher the rank.

By default, the Search Producers listings appear with the highest-ranked producers at the top.

Are there other ways to increase my rank?

By far, the greatest weight is given to the ratings you get for your work on a project and the number of projects you’ve completed through MediaMobz. However, a few other factors can bump up your rank.

A producer’s rank is determined by:

  • the producer’s cumulative rating given by buyers for work performed on MediaMobz;
  • the number of projects completed (more is better);
  • the number of times the producer logs in and uses the site;
  • whether the producer has completed a profile and uploaded an icon or photo.

Please don’t place too much emphasis on rank during the site’s early months, given that few projects have been completed.

Do buyers receive a rank?

Yes, buyers are rated and ranked as well. After a project is completed, producers are asked to rate the buyer they worked with and provide feedback.

The only difference is that there is no page listing the order of ranked buyers. The rank appears on each buyer’s profile page and the Buyer Feedback page, which you see when you click a buyer’s “Reviews” link.

When can I assign a rating?

Both buyer and producer can give a rating at any time during a project or after a project is completed. We recommend that you rate and review the other party near the end of your project. Once a rating is submitted, it cannot be changed.

If I don’t like my rating or rank, can I create a new profile?

We discourage members from having more than one profile on MediaMobz. You can change any information on your profile page, including email address, name, display name, city, etc., but your rating and rank won’t be affected.

Can I rate a producer or buyer if a bid has not been accepted?
